Michael Page will not be fighting Paul Daley at a Bellator show in London, England this Spring.

Last weekend, a source close to FloCombat informed us that a fight between Page and Daley had been targeted for the show and that Daley accepting the fight was the only piece missing from getting a deal done.

Following our report, Page posted several times on social media indicating to fans that he wanted the fight. Earlier this morning he released a new video directed at Daley across all of his social media platforms:

However, it looks like Page's and the promotion's attempts to get the fight put together have ultimately failed. Earlier this morning, Page released a short statement to FloCombat to express his disappointment.

"I knew Paul Daley wouldn't take the fight because he knows MVP is a bad night for him," Page said.

"It's disappointing for both myself and the fans, but more will be revealed later today as the Bellator press conference in London."

Both Page and Daley will attend the press conference today [Thursday] in London at 13:00 local time. It is expected that the promotion will announce the date and several fights for the event taking place at the SSE Arena, Wembley.

While it remains unclear who the next opponent for Page will be, it appears that Daley already has his opponent for the event set and that it will be revealed this afternoon.

One thing we do know for sure is that UK MMA fans must wait if they are to see the two British Bellator welterweights go at it.
