Karate K-1 tournament takes over FloCombat this weekend with Kumite style action.
For the sixth time in the organization’s history a Karate 1 Premier League event will be held in Paris. This monumental martial arts showing is so epic it spans not one but two days this weekend, both Saturday,
Jan. 28th and Sunday, Jan. 29 th, and comes to you live from the Pierre de Coubertin Stadium in Paris.
The global showcase brings some of the world's best combat sports athletes face-to- face for supremely high-level hand-to- hand and foot-to- foot karate competition.
The series was put in place by the WKF to bring together the best of the best and it will do just that. The Karate 1 Premier League is the most influential and important organization in the world of Karate. It comprises of a number of the most prominent Karate competitions to bring together the best Karate athletes in the world in open championships of unprecedented scale and quality.
The organization was founded in 2011 with the first two tournaments held in Paris and Istanbul. The league has since seen exponential growth in terms of magnitude and status in its six years of existence.
The tournaments, as well as the number of participants and countries represented, grows by leaps and bounds with every passing event.
The tournament and organization is truly one with a worldwide reach, as the schedule shows the organization will visit the Netherlands, UAE, Morocco, Spain, Germany, Turkey and Japan in the coming year.
