UFC welterweight Alan Jouban leads a double life of sorts. The Louisiana native splits his time between photographers taking shots on set and
fellow elite mixed martial artists throwing strikes at his face inside the Octagon.

The photogenic Jouban recently signed a landmark deal with fashion icon Versace, the most prestigious such endorsement in MMA history. Jouban is the face of Versace's new Dylan Blue fragrance. The UFC star appears in a wide array of advertising, from print to commercials and everything in between, in the worldwide campaign.

"I am honored to be a part of it. Everybody knows Versace as a trailblazing fashion company," Jouban said. "They are one of the biggest names in the industry. I have learned that when it comes to jobs, fragrance is the job to have. It's the best paying and the most wanted job. It really is a huge deal to land a fragrance campaign with a company like Versace. It's doing great things for my career, and I'm looking to do even bigger things in the future."

In his most recent fight, a unanimous decision victory over Belal Muhammad at UFC Fight Night 90 in Las Vegas this past June, Jouban revealed that he fought over half the fight with a broken hand. After the bad break, he bit down on his mouthpiece and gritted out the remaining minutes of the fight.

"I dropped Belal three times it that fight," Jouban said. "The third time I dropped him, I did a slip and rip and I came back with the left hand and I instantly knew something was wrong. I broke two bones in my hand. I continued to fight for another minute and threw the left hand again, and once I hit him with it again, I remember hearing a pop. I might have broken the second bone then. I heard that noise and felt a weird movement in my hand that I did not like. From there on, I had no left hand.

"You hear people say if you keep punching with a hand like that it will go numb." Jouban said. "That's bullshit. It's like in Mortal Kombat or Streetfighter. When you take big damage or a big blow like that broken hand, your energy levels go down. I remember going into that third round and every movement was taxing. I was just thinking in the back of my head 'How much longer?' I felt great coming out of there with the win and getting the bonus eased the pain."

Jouban is riding a two-fight winning streak and is gaining much-needed momentum in the stacked welterweight division. The immediate goal is to have a number next to his name. Plain and simple, he wants to be a ranked UFC fighter. The full-time fighter and part-time model has an interesting scrap scheduled against undefeated Mike Perry at UFC on FOX 22 on December 17 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.

The bold and brash Perry is not one to shy away from an altercation in any form. More often than not, he instigates it, and the usually laid-back Jouban is more than happy to return fire. The bell has already sounded to open the first round of the social media scuffle between the two welterweights in the lead-up to the fight.

"I am a respectful guy," Jouban said. "I don't see any glove touching in this one. He is very animated. I can see it getting heated during the stare down at weigh-ins. Once the Octagon door closes, it's going to be kill or be killed. I feel strongly that I will knock this guy out or submit him. I am going to put him on his ass. This guy likes to fight with his hands down. I respect what he has done as a fighter, but I know what type of fighter he is.

"He acts like he looks. He already started talking a lot of s**t to me on Twitter. I wake up every morning to him saying stupid s**t like 'Jouban you are a bitch. I'm going to f**k up your face.' This and that. He's making this personal, but I don't take it personally. He's selling the fight, so I can't even get mad. I don't think he understands what he's getting into. He will see that in the cage.

"When I hurt him, I will go for the kill. I'm there to die. I'm not going to give up. I'm not going to go down easy. I'm going to see it in his eyes, and then I'm going to go for the kill."
