TJ Brown came to Cage Titans 36 to hijack some hype.

"Downtown" stepped in to face the highly touted Pete Barrett on the card's main event, in a bout that was figured to be the next step in "Slippery Pete's" road to bigger stages. Barrett had found success in all but one of his nine showings to date, and Brown was determined to prove he was the fighter to put focus on.

And that's precisely what Brown accomplished.

While the opening rounds were a back-and-forth affair, Brown poured it on strong in the third frame. With the fight on the canvas, Brown worked from top position until he locked in the fight-ending arm triangle choke.
