Two certified scrappers squared off in the main event of Valor Fights 47 as Jason King and Steven Haag stepped in to handle their business.
Both King and Haag are experienced veterans under the Valor banner and the showdown between the two welterweights was a highly anticipated tilt.
The rangy King came out looking to establish distance and utilize his arsenal of weapons as Haag was determined to get the action to the canvas early. Haag attempted to pull guard by jumping up and snatching his opponent's neck, but King was strong enough to keep his feet under him.
King eventually carried Haag over to the cage, and while they were locked up against the fence, "The Asian Persuasion" landed two huge shots that dropped his opponent on the canvas cold. While the shots were fired from close range, they landed with brutal force as Haag was out on the canvas for several minutes after the bout concluded.
With the knockout, King puts himself back into the win column, and picks up one of the biggest victories of his career in the process.
