Alex White vs. Dan Moret Targeted For UFC Fight Night 146: Wichita
The UFC is working on a lightweight showdown between Alex White and Dan Moret for UFC Fight Night 146 in Wichita.
A lightweight clash is in the works for the UFC’s debut in Kansas.
The UFC is currently working on a bout between Alex White (12-5) and Dan Moret (13-4) for UFC Fight Night 146 from Wichita on March 9, FloCombat confirmed with multiple sources.
A member of the UFC’s roster since early 2014, White has had a roller-coaster tenure with the promotion. In his most recent outing this past September, “The Spartan” was submitted by Jim Miller in just 89 seconds at UFC 228. Having lost three out of his last four bouts, it’s probable the 30-year-old fighter has his back up against the wall.
His opponent, the MMA Lab’s Moret, made his promotional debut in April at UFC on FOX: Phoenix. The UFC tasked Moret with a tough test on short notice in Brazilian finisher Gilbert Burns. Moret was finished in the second round via knockout. “The Hitman” will look to bounce back in his sophomore outing against White.
