Merab Dvalishvili vs. Terrion Ware Set For UFC Fight Night 136 In Moscow
UFC bantamweights Merab Dvalishvili and Terrion Ware are set to collide Sept. 15 at UFC Fight Night 136 in Moscow, Russia.
The UFC’s Sept. 15 debut in Moscow is shaping up to be a good one, filled with talent from eastern Europe and beyond.
Sticking with the theme of exciting matchups, a newly inked bout between bantamweights Merab Dvalishvili (7-4, 0-1 UFC) and Terrion Ware (17-7, 0-3 UFC) is slated for the event.
Multiple sources confirmed the news with FloCombat following a social media post by Dvalishvili on Facebook.
Pushed into the national spotlight following an episode of Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight, Georgia’s Dvalishvili made his UFC debut in Atlantic City earlier this year.
The 27-year-old Serra-Longo product picked apart debuting hot prospect Ricky Simón for two and a half rounds.
Late in the third, however, Simón pulled off one of the craziest and most controversial “buzzer beater” finishes in UFC history.
Dvalishvili challenged the bout with the local commission, but his efforts were for naught, as the commission denied his claims.
His opponent Ware has had a tough go in the UFC thus far when it comes to wins and losses. Despite being 0-3 in the promotion since debuting back in July of 2017, Ware has impressed fight fans and the UFC with his tenacity, toughness, and improving skill sets.
In his three appearances for the promotion, Ware has faced a murderers' row of up-and-coming prospects including Sean O’Malley, Tom Duquesnoy, and Cody Stamann.
The 32-year-old Californian will look to snap his three-fight skid in Russia.
