John Gotti III, grandson of the infamous New Yorker of the same name, looks to go 2-0 as a pro mixed martial artist at a May 4 CES event in Westbury, NY.
The event will mark CES' New York debut after standing out as one of New England's premier fighting organizations for years.
The event is headlined by a battle between UFC vet Renee Forte (8-4) and "The Ultimate Fighter" alum Matt Secor (9-5).
It also notably features a flyweight bout between Josh Ricci (4-0) and Miguel Restrepo (4-4) and a featherweight scrap between Bellator veterans Jacob Bohn (5-5) and Kenny Foster (12-12).
Add in Gotti's sophomore appearance as a pro, and this event boasts all kinds of appeal.
While the New Yorker has received plenty of attention for his name alone, it's clear he's dedicating himself to the sport of MMA and putting together some legitimate skills and credentials.
Gotti is 6-1 combined as a pro and amateur, winning three of those fights via stoppage. He ended his amateur career in style by capturing the Triton Fights welterweight title at Triton Fights 1.
REPLAY: Triton Fights 1
In his professional debut, Gotti forced Johnny Adams to submit to strikes in just one round at CES 46 in October.
Now, he looks to build on that victory and push his career to the next level at CES New York.
