Conor McGregor Tweets, Gives Blessing To Gaethje vs. Johnson War
UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor approved of Justin Gaethje vs. Michael Johnson war.
Conor McGregor may be off in another realm preparing for the biggest fight in combat sports history against Floyd Mayweather, but "Notorious" is still the king of the UFC lightweight division.
After dismantling and snatching the crown from Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 last November, the Dublin native has been all but a ghost when it comes to happenings in and around the Octagon. That changed on Friday night as the Irish superstar took to social media to let the world, and a pair of hard-hitting lightweights know the current champion is keeping an eye on things inside the cage.
Immediately following the instant classic cooked up by Justin Gaethje and Michael Johnson, McGregor tweeted his approval for the carnage that unfolded over the two round affair.

With McGregor set to box and make a massive payday against Mayweather on Aug. 26 there has been tremendous speculation as to whether or not the Irish superstar will ever return to the UFC. And while one tweet cast in the early morning hours isn't proof that will happen, it at least shows the man at the top of the mountain is paying attention.
