The UFC women’s featherweight is a division in flux; the champion, Germaine de Randamie, has an injured hand from her championship victory over Holly Holm in February and may need surgery. For her part, Holm has decided to continue her career in the bantamweight division, moving back down to 135lbs. to challenge Betha Correia in May.
The missing link at 145 pounds is Cris “Cyborg” Justino and she isn’t interested in excuses.
The former Invicta FC featherweight champion hasn’t fought since a September bout with Lina Lansberg, where Justino dominated her opponent en route to a second-round stoppage. Now, she’s looking for a fight or to be released.
Justino sent a tweet yesterday asking for her release if they were not going to give her a fight.

The UFC asked Justino to fight for the featherweight title in January, but it proved to be too quick a turnaround for her after her September fight.
With the UFC not having signed any other women to fight in the UFC’s featherweight division, options are slim for what to do next with Justino. She told BJPenn.com that she isn’t interested in an interim title fight.
“When the UFC asked me last January to fight her for the belt, I explained to them I would, but needed a March date because my body was still recovering from two weight cuts to 140 pounds,” Justino said. “So I know what it is like to want to accept the fight but needing additional time to heal.”
