Paddy Pimblett Faces Nad Narimani At Cage Warriors 82
Paddy Pimblett will defend his Cage Warriors title against Nad Narimani April 1 at Cage Warriors 82
Paddy Pimblett has his next title defense set and it's going go down April 1 at Cage Warriors 82.
Pimblett will defend his title in his own backyard at the Echo Arena in Liverpool—the same site where he and fellow Liverpudlian Chris Fishgold sent the crowd into a frenzy after successfully defending their titles in front a crowd of energetic local supporters last September at Cage Warriors 78.
In April, Cage Warriors returns to the venue, and they hope to pack the place out. To help accomplish this, Fishgold is also expected to be added to the card at a later date.
Pimblett's next opponent, however, will be fellow English fighter Nad Narimani (9-2) who walks into the contest having won his last two fights. Narimani, 29, defeated current KSW featherweight champion Marcin Wrzosek back in 2012 and has since gone on to fight under the Cage Warriors banner five times with a record of 3-2.
In 2015, Narimani briefly fought for rival UK promotion BAMMA, but after picking up a win against Jeremy Petley at BAMMA 23, he rejoined Cage Warriors last year and defeated the Spaniard Daniel Requeijo at Cage Warriors 76 in June.

The man from Bristol now gets the opportunity of a lifetime when he faces Pimblett April 1, but if he's to dethrone the champion he must defeat a man riding a nine-fight winning streak—and do it on his opponent's own patch.
Pimblett (13-1) hasn't been defeated since 2013 and has swept away all challengers placed in front of him. The Next Generation MMA man is coming off the back of victories over Julian Erosa, Johnny Frachey, Teddy Violet and Ashleigh Grimshaw in 2016 and now looks to make his second title defense this April.
The current Cage Warriors featherweight champion is considered by many people to be the next big UK prospect headed for the UFC, but at 22 years of age he sees little point in getting ahead of himself and says he's more than happy for the minute to continue defending his Cage Warriors title.
No other fights have yet been announced for the Cage Warriors 82 card, but further announcements are expected over the coming weeks.
