Cody Garbrandt has quickly built a reputation for slinging the heat once the cage door closes.

The Ohio native has been blessed with ridiculous power in his hands, and the opposition unfortunate enough to witness his gift has often caught a case of the violent sleeps inside the Octagon. Garbrandt's success and presentation quickly made him a fighter to watch in the UFC bantamweight ranks, and his continued push earned the Team Alpha Male star his first opportunity to compete for championship gold.

The 25-year-old slugger will face his toughest competition yet tonight when he faces bantamweight king Dominick Cruz at UFC 207 in Las Vegas.

While Cruz has been a puzzle to figure out under the bright lights, the reigning champion's trash-talk game has also been otherworldly in the lead up to their co-main event tilt. Champion and challenger have been going at one another's throats since the bout was made official, and that tension has boiled over several times in the chaos that is UFC 207 fight week.
