KSW Set to Make History With First MMA Stadium Event in Europe
KSW will look to make history as the promotion announces first stadium event in Warsaw, Poland on May 27.
After the spectacle that was KSW 37: Circus of Pain, the Poland-based promotion set the bar high going into 2017.
The question loomed as to how KSW could go even bigger, and the answer has been given with the announcement of its first ever stadium show, which has been scheduled for May 27 at Poland's National Stadium (PGE Narodowy) in Warsaw.
The PGE Narodowy is one of the biggest arenas in Europe and is the home stadium of the Polish national football team and the host of various music concerts and sporting events.
On May 27 for the first time in history, KSW will become the first ever mixed martial arts organization to bring an event to the arena which can host up to 60,000 spectators.
While 60,000 seats might sound a stretch, KSW has been one of the premier brands of MMA in Europe for the last ten years, and has sold out the biggest indoor arenas in Poland, including the 17,000 seated Tauron Arena in Kraków, the 15,000 seated Atlas Arena in Łódź and the 13,000 seated Ergo Arena in Gdańsk.

Having staged their biggest and most successful show earlier this month in Krakow, KSW believe that now is the right time to head to the Polish National Stadium for an event.
No fights have been announced as of time of print, but KSW are promised that their biggest names will be involved.
Among the fighters expected to be involved are the KSW middleweight champion Mamed Khalidov and the former five-time World's Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski. Also, the newly-crowned KSW heavyweight champion Fernando Rodrigues Jr will defend his title for the first time, while Olympic wrestling bronze medalist Damian Janikowski will make his long-awaited MMA debut.
More announcements are expected to come in the following weeks.
