Former professional wrestlers stepping into the MMA cage has been all the rage as of late.

Where competitors like Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley crossed over and found success in the world of real face-punching chaos, the current crop hasn't been quite as fortunate. Former WWE superstar CM Punk made huge news in the sporting world when he officially announced signing on with the UFC, but a two-year wait followed by a drubbing at the hands of Mickey Gall at UFC 203 put an ugly stamp on the entire experiment.

Although former TNA wrestler Kid Kash carries nowhere near the status of a Punk or Lesnar, that didn't stop the former wrestler from chasing his mixed martial arts dreams. That moment came front and center on Saturday night at Valor 38 in Nashville, TN, and it's safe to say that dream suddenly became a nightmare once the leather started flying.

Kash stepped in against Lindsey Jones, and the rangy striker wasted no time laying out both the welcome mat and Kash himself. Jones stalked Kash across the cage then unleashed a vicious flurry that dusted the former pro wrestler and left him looking up at the lights.

All in all, not the best night for Kid Kash, but it's probably best he figured out the real stuff wasn't for him sooner than later.
