8 Things You May Have Missed from UFC 205 Press Conference
The UFC 205 press conference played out like another 'Conor McGregor Show' but there were a number little Easter eggs hidden throughout that you may have missed. Here are eight we spotted.

#1 -- The best spectator seats in the house

How do you fancy flying into New York, suiting up to the nines and then having the best seat in the house to watch Conor McGregor put on a show in front of a raucous New York City crowd at Madison Square Garden? This may sound like a prize at the end of a competition, but in actual fact, this was exactly what Kelvin Gastelum and Yoel Romero got to do yesterday.

Unfortunately for both Gastelum and Romero, neither were asked a single question during the press conference meaning their only obligation was to take part in the staredowns at the end. Look on the bright side, at least they weren't Jeremy Stephens.

#2--Poor Jeremy Stephens

Eddie Alvarez had a fair few verbal exchanges with McGregor, but when Jeremy Stephens tried to come to the party telling the Irishman he was the man in the featherweight division with true KO power, the result wasn't pretty.

The put down from McGregor you couldn't have possibly missed, but did you notice both Karolina Kowalkiewicz and even Donald Cerrone laughing at Stephens? If Donald Cerrone is laughing at a Conor McGregor joke, you got to know it's bad. Poor old Jeremy Stephens is going to have to do something special if he is to shake off the memories of this moment.

#3--Over 110,000 people tuned in live to watch the press conference

Despite really only having 18 hours of McGregor officially booked to attend, the UFC 205 press conference last evening had an astonishing 110,000 people watching it live at its peak.

The count as of this afternoon at 2:000 pm U.K. time shows that over 900,000 have watched the official video on YouTube, while there have of course been multiple highlights packages and social media clips made and distributed.

UFC 205 kicked off in a big way last evening and if everything stays together this could well be the biggest UFC card of all time.

#4--A fan got in on the act, but it was Dana that picked him

It's unlikely that you will have missed this one, but if you just so happened to turn the press conference off early thinking it was all over you will have missed the comical moment when a fan, dressed smartly in a shirt and tie, got to ask the final question of the press conference.

But was it a work? No, probably not, but Dana White did set it up himself.

"Right I'm going to take one last question, who's got it?" White said. He then for the first time in the thirty minute presser proceeded to handpick a 'reporter'himself and said: "That dude over there with the tie, there you go."

No doubt White regretted that afterward.

#5--McGregor was asked more questions than ten of the other participants combined

Those doubting last evening was the McGregor show may want to look at the stats. The Irishman was asked more questions than Weidman, Woodley, Edgar, Cerrone, Jedrzejczyk, Kowalkiewicz, Thompson, Stephens, Romero and Gastelum all combined.

Dana White and Eddie Alvarez were next busiest, but even those two together didn't take as many questions as the current UFC featherweight champion.

Total Questions:

Conor McGregor -- 16
Dana White - 7
Eddie Alvarez -- 6
Chris Weidman - 3
Tyron Woodley - 2
Frankie Edgar - 2
Donald Cerrone - 2
Joanna Jedrzejczyk - 1
Karolina Kowalkiewicz - 1
Stephen Thompson - 1
Jeremy Stephens - 1
Yoel Romero - 0
Kelvin Gastelum - 0

#6--The cans of Monster were quickly removed from the situation

As the insults flew and the tension raised, both Stephen Thompson and Dana White were quick to remove all the cans of Monster energy drink from arms reach of Conor McGregor.

First Stephen Thompson spotted the danger ...

…then Dana White intervened when the Monster can magically reappeared.

#7--Oh by the way …. Khabib Nurmagomedov will face Michael Johnson at UFC 205

On what planet does the announcement of Khabib Nurmagomedov versus Michael Johnson get forgotten?

Half way through answering a question last evening, Dana White suddenly remembered that the fight between the two lightweights had been made official earlier in the day.

It's another outstanding fight set for what was already the most stacked card of the year.

#8--It wasn't all one-way traffic for McGregor

Last evening McGregor had several good lines and insults, but Alvarez had some great moments on the microphone himself.

His labelling of McGregor's featherweight belt as the 'Little Boy Belt' was an insult McGregor didn't have an answer for, and he later fooled the Irishman into taking his glasses off when he requested.

This all bodes well for a terrific event come November 12. Last evening was just our very first taste of what's to come.
