Khabib Nurmagomedov has been putting the heat on Eddie Alvarez and doesn't appear to be slowing down.
The undefeated Dagestan-born lightweight took to social media this week to voice his frustration in regards to a bout against the UFC's 155-pound champion that seems to be hanging in the balance. Nurmagomedov claims he was offered the bout against Alvarez on four different dates, yet each time the deal went south because the Philadelphia native refused to sign the on the dotted line.

And while Nurmagomedov may be ready to get his long-awaited shot at championship gold, Alvarez doesn't look to be all too interested in the matchup.
The reigning lightweight king has been calling out Irish superstar Conor McGregor since July, and his campaign to do so has been pushing for the fight more than ever in recent weeks. The potential matchup between McGregor and Alvarez generated a lot of buzz around the MMA community, and as rumors of the fight being in the final stages of booking began to circulate, the momentum surrounding the bout only amplified.

Yet, that buzz was deafened earlier this week when UFC President Dana White tweeted it would be Nurmagomedov, not McGregor, who would face Alvarez inside the Octagon.
White's blast on social media appears to back up what the Russian fighter's message, but there has yet to be any real clarity on the situation. The only thing certain at this point is Nurmagomedov wants to see Alvarez standing across from him inside the Octagon. And so much is "The Eagle's" pursuit he continued his barrage late into the night on Thursday with what is undoubtedly his most poignant attack of them all.
