CM Punk to Mickey Gall: 'Shut the F**k Up and Fake It Til You Make It'
Having been beaten in just a matter or minutes by Mickey Gall at UFC 203, any normal person would've held back offering advice to their conqueror. CM Punk however, is no average man.

A battered and bruised Punk collected himself together shortly after his defeat last evening at UFC 203 and joined reporters for a post-fight press conference. Despite looking both physically and mentally worn down by the experience, Punk revealed that he had offered Gall some advice having been submitted just minutes before.

"Throughout the interviews, he would say things like, speaking about himself, saying he didn't belong in the UFC and he didn't belong on the main card," Punk said. "I told him, 'everyone else is going to say that about you throughout your entire career, why are you going to say that about yourself?

"I said 'Don't ever put yourself down. Even if you think you don't deserve to be on the main card, and you're on the main card.. .just shut the f*** up and fake it till you make it. Don't ever sell yourself short'."

While happy to be friendly after the fight, Punk revealed that his game plan was focused on pressuring Gall and taking him to places he'd never been before with an aggressive attack.

Unfortunately for Punk, his aggressiveness from the outset led to his downfall. After coming out the gate looking for a big right hook, he was put on his back and from there it was a downward spiral.

"Watching what little tape there is on Mickey, I think nobody pressured him," Punk said. "His first pro fight, the guy was just moving backwards. The plan was just to move forward. I was either going to come back with my shield or on it. And I think that's the game I played."

Having been convincingly submitted just north of the two-minute mark, all that was left last evening after it was all said and done was for Punk to think about his future and where he sees himself continuing. One thing for sure is Punk isn't counting his chickens that it will be in the UK

"My initial venture into this was going to be at the lowest level," Punk said. "This opportunity just got presented to myself and I would have been a fool had I said 'No'. I don't know what happens from here on out.

"What if I get cut? That could be a possibility. Do I want that to happen? No, but who's to say where I go from here. I just fell off a bike. I'm not just gonna shelve it and leave it in the street. I'm gonna get back on and ride it."
