Donald Cerrone Enjoying Five Guys Burgers Ahead Of UFC 202
Donald Cerrone spoke to media ahead of his UFC 202 bout with Rick Story on Saturday night. Cerrone indicated he'd been enjoying some Five Guys Pizza fighting at Welterweight
If Donald Cerrone was any more laid back he'd be permanently horizontal.
Cerrone was his usual cheery self today at the Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas as he spoke to the media ahead of his big fight at UFC 202 with Rick Story this Saturday.
Having fought at 155 pounds for the majority of his career, Cerrone has recently been enjoying the luxury of fighting at 170 pounds and will be looking for this third straight win this weekend in the UFC's welterweight division.
While Cerrone has obviously been enjoying the luxury of preparing for a welterweight bout again this week, he revealed today that he's more than happy to move back down to lightweight.
"I ate Five Guys burgers last night man I can't complain," Cerrone said with a big smile on his face. "It's definitely f****** easier, no question about that at all. 155 pounds, 170 pounds, whatever man.
"I'm just going to play the line whatever. Big fight, little fight--I don't give a s***."
In the build-up to his fight with Story, Cerrone hasn't been overly complimentary about his opponent's skills. The Jackson-Winkeljohn man believes it's going to be a case of him having too much for the Story to handle on Saturday night.
"It's not I don't think much of him exactly but I just don't think he has all that much to his game," Cerrone said. "Unfortunately, he's just of a one trick pony. He's big and powerful and pushes forward. His wrestling is so-so and his Jiu Jitsu isn't really existent.
"He just pushes guys up against the cage and turns into a brawler. So is the new MMA great at everything guy going to beat the old time one trick pony--we'll see."
While focused on his job at hand on Saturday night, Cerrone has already made very obvious what he wants next--a move back down to 155 pounds and a date with UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez at Madison Square garden at UFC 205.
Despite rivals such as Khabib Nurmagomedov also chasing this exact fight, Cerrone isn't going to go out of his way to plead for it. Instead, Cerrone is just going to go about it the way he seemingly goes about everything in life--with a smile on his face and taking everything as it comes.
"I'm not going to really give them an argument for it apart from saying 'Hey I want to do it," Cerrone said. "If they say 'Yes' then good, if they don't then I dunno."
