There has been a ton of build up and tension between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz heading into their rematch at UFC 202. Today that tension boiled over.

Where their first meeting was highlighted by the war of words in the lead up, things have been relatively quiet between Diaz and McGregor in the lead up to the rematch. That situation changed drastically on Wednesday afternoon, when all out chaos erupted at the scheduled press conference for the fight on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena.

Although McGregor was more than 30 minutes late to the event, it wasn't his arrival that sent things over the wall--it was Diaz's departure. The Stockton native made an abrupt exit shortly after McGregor took his seat, and shouted insults at the Irish superstar on his way out the door. The two fighters began to exchange verbal barbs until Diaz launched a water bottle in McGregor's direction.

This led McGregor to return fire, and the situation hit a fever-pitch.

UFC President Dana White immediately moved to shut down the press conference and apologized to all in attendance as security struggled to keep the two camps at bay.

There wasn't a ton of excitement surrounding this rematch before Wednesday, but that has all changed. These boy are going to fight at UFC 202.
