Miesha Tate says Ronda Rousey 'Emotionally Unstable'
Miesha Tate made headlines earlier this month when she detailed an encounter between former bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey and UFC strawweight Paige VanZant.

According to Tate, Rousey caught VanZant at a VIP event, where she proceeded to berate the young fighter. VanZant congratulated Holly Holm on her UFC 193 victory over Rousey, and "Rowdy" didn’t much like that gesture.

"I guess Ronda came up and was like, ‘f**k you, you fair-weather b***h! How dare you cross me?" Tate told Joe Rogan about the encounter on The Joe Rogan Experience.

Now, Tate has doubled down on these sentiments. Speaking with RJ Clifford and Steve Cofield on SiriusXM's Rush Fight Club, Tate elaborated on Rousey's mental state.

"I think Ronda is somewhat emotionally unstable and I think that's been characteristic for a long time. Doesn't mean she fights any worse for it. I'm not knocking her as an athlete, but emotionally she's just got some things that are a little bit strange, and I think that that [the encounter with VanZant] was one of them."

Tate and Rousey have fought twice inside the cage, with Rousey winning each encounter via armbar. Outside of competition, the two are not friendly by any stretch. Their rivalry extends back to 2012, when Rousey first defeated Tate under the Strikeforce banner.

Since that time, Tate has known Rousey is just not the type of person she wants to associate with. They don't gel on any level, and Tate told Rush Fight Club why she believes this to be the case.

"I feel like you can tell a lot about a person who, if they're nice to people that they don't have to be nice to or if they're not nice to people that they don't have to be nice to, and I feel like things that sometimes people don't see on the massive media outlets is the way Ronda is behind scenes," Tate said. "This is just one example. This is a big reason why Ronda and I don't get along. It's not even the career, it's the difference in our personal perspectives. That's why we have the rivalry."
