A champion is coming to Cleveland.
Stipe Miocic will defend his heavyweight title against Alistair Overeem Sept. 10 at UFC 203 at the Quicken Loans Arena, colloquially known as "The Q." Home of the Cleveland Cavaliers, The Q has long hosted one of the greatest basketball players to ever live, Lebron James, but it's never had a champion to call its own—until now.
Miocic blasted Fabricio Werdum with a right hand from Hades May 14 at UFC 198, earning the first-round knockout and the heavyweight strap that came with it. Now the Cleveland native looks to defend his title against Overeem.

It won't be easy for Miocic. While the Ohioan has never looked better inside the cage, winning three straight fights via knockout, Overeem is no easy task for any man on earth.
Like Miocic, "The Reem" is hitting his stride inside the Octagon. After a disappointing 2-3 start to his UFC career, he's pieced together four straight victories, three via knockout. His last two, knockout of former UFC heavyweight champs Junior dos Santos and Andrei Arlovski, solidified his title worthiness.
Now, he faces Miocic on his home turf. While Overeem's current run is sensational by any measure, the lingering issue throughout his career is his chin, and Miocic throws heat. There's no doubt Miocic could send Overeem into a fist-induced coma, but in the heavyweight division, the sleeps go both ways.
In his first loss under the UFC banner, Miocic was put away with strikes by Stefan Struve. When massive dudes start slinging leather, anything can—and does—happen. Overeem's attack is more diverse, with his polished kicks and knees, but Miocic's athleticism and boxing has proven a tough puzzle to solve.
It's nearly impossible to pick a winner here on paper, but one thing is certain: It's can't-miss TV.
