Subversiv ushers in a new era of team-based grappling Saturday, Sept. 22, live from Anaheim, California. Brought to you by Fight 2 Win, the event features five-athlete teams from 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu, Carlson Gracie, Team Lloyd Irvin, and CSW competing for a $10,000 grand prize. 

Notable names set to grapple at Subversiv include former UFC title challenger and current contender Liz Carmouche, stud 10th Planet brothers Geo and Richie Martinez, and always-exciting Team Lloyd Irvin standouts in Jason Soares, Tim Spriggs, and DJ Jackson.

Sept. 22 | Anaheim, CA | 9 PM ET 

The Subversiv teams will be divided by weight: 145, 165, 185, 205, and an openweight female spot. Under Eddie Bravo Invitational (EBI) rules, the teams will be matched up by weight and will face off until winners are crowned. 

Under this no-gi rule set, all submissions are legal—as are slams!—and bouts will head to an overtime period if no submission is achieved in the 10 minutes of regulation time. Action will continue in overtime until somebody earns a submission or, after three overtime rounds, the competitor with the fastest escape will win the match.  

The top team will take home $10,000, while second place will notch $2,000.

The Undercard

In addition to the team-based main card, Subversiv brings you a stacked undercard similar to a traditional Fight 2 Win event. 

There, Marvin Castelle returns. If you're unfamiliar with the 10th Planet competitor, you need only one video to get acquainted. 

Slick, right? 

Castelle is all action, all day, and his presence alone makes the undercard worth watching. As that builds into the stacked main card and featured team bouts of the evening, Subversiv promises all the grappling goodness you need on a Saturday night.
