Shamrock FC returns Friday, Sept. 7, with another night of thrilling action set for Shamrock FC 309.

The event takes place at the River City Casino in St. Louis, Missouri, streaming live right here on FloCombat at 8:30 PM ET.

From top to bottom, the card is poised to deliver excitement, featuring dozens of the region’s best professional and amateur fighters. 

UFC Vet vs. UFC Vet

In the evening’s main event, two UFC veterans collide as The Ultimate Fighter Season 17 cast member Adam Cella meets James Bochnovic at 185 pounds. 

Enduring a rollercoaster of a career thus far, Cella will look to continue his recent winning ways. After being released from the UFC in 2013, the Missourian struggled, losing seven of his next nine bouts. 

In his last three fights though—one of which was for Bellator MMA—Cella has picked up three first-round finishes. Something is clearly clicking for him right now, and he looks to ride that momentum Friday when he squares off vs. Bochnovic inside the Shamrock FC cage.

Competing twice in the UFC, Bochnovic dropped his two Octagon appearances to Markus Perez and Trevin Giles respectively.

His return to the regional scene was slated for last month, but after a bout at XFO 63 fell through, the 29-year-old fighter jumped at the opportunity to save the Shamrock FC 309 main event.  Taking on Cella, he looks to bounce back and build his case for a return to the big show.

Crowd Favorites All Around

Before the main-eventers throw down Friday night, a pair of Shamrock FC staples will go head-to-head when 23-year-old Cort Wahle battles fellow Missouri featherweight Trevon Crawford.

Also, on the undercard, highly touted amateur Evan Elder makes his long-awaited professional debut. Standing in the 21-year-old’s way will be another pro debutant, Antonio Atkins.

With a 6-1 amateur record, Elder's only loss as an amateur came against TUF 27 standout and current UFC lightweight Luis Pena via decision. In his most recent outing, Elder unleashed a slick armbar, setting the stage beautifully for his pro debut at Shamrock FC 309.

Rounding out the main card will be a bout between lightweights Colin Parr and KJ Jones.

Intertwining with a preliminary card of amateur mixed martial arts will be a trifecta of kickboxing fights, giving a little something for every level of combat sports fan.
