Henry Cejudo Calls Out Tim Elliott On Twitter
UFC flyweight contender Henry Cejudo calls for a scrap against Tim Elliott via Twitter.
They say fortune favors the bold, and UFC flyweight Henry Cejudo is certainly putting that statement to the test.
The No. 2-ranked 125-pound fighter on the UFC's official rankings took to social media Tuesday to call out former The Ultimate Fighter winner Tim Elliott, making his point clear in 140 characters or less.
What's up @TElliott125 you don't have a fight and I don't have a fight. You talked a lot of tuf24. Time to step up @ufc @danawhite @Mickmaynard2

Solid work looping in matchmaker Mick Maynard there, Cejudo. Well done.
The former freestyle wrestling Olympic gold medalist Cejudo is 11-2 in his professional career, dropping a controversial split decision to perennial top contender Joseph Benavidez and getting knocked out by pound-for-pound great Demetrious Johnson.
However, Cejudo is on a two-fight winning streak over No. 6 Wilson Reis and No. 5 Sergio Pettis, putting him in prime position to challenge for the UFC flyweight title once more.
That's where that "brave" part comes in.
Ranked No. 12, Elliott makes almost no sense for Cejudo at this time.
The 31-year-old fighter is coming off a submission victory at UFC 219, but prior to that, he lost via rear-naked choke to No. 8 Ben Nguyen in less than one minute.
Furthermore, Elliott is flat out dangerous. He boasts an awkward, aggressive style, and he went four-for-four on takedowns vs. Johnson in his own title bid at The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale.
There's plenty to lose and little for Cejudo to gain, but who are we to shoot down an exciting scrap?
