'Overstimulated' Ronda Rousey Struggles To Process WWE Debut
Watch former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey's emotional post-Royal Rumble interview here.
Ronda Rousey ruled the UFC Octagon from February 2013 to October 2015, becoming one of the biggest stars in MMA history during her remarkable run at the top.
Now, however, Rousey is moving into a new realm, the squared circle. Making her WWE debut at Sunday night's Royal Rumble, Rousey fully introduced herself to pro wrestling fans across the globe, and the internet went bananas.

While Rousey didn't show too much of her hand at Royal Rumble, she did set up a future appearance at Wrestlemania 34, taking place April 8.
Speaking with ESPN's Ramona Shelburne after her debut, Rousey was overcome by joy and emotion.
"It's for real, for real [my new career in the WWE], yeah," Rousey said. "I can't even believe it. I'm convincing myself right now, so thank you for reiterating what I was just telling myself. I don't have words at all. I'm like, this is the most overstimulated I've ever been in my life. I'm still processing it.
"There [are] people behind me, screaming, and I've never been less articulate in my life. I'm so happy. I don't have words for it. I usually have words for everything. This never happened before. Next question, oh my god."
While there were plenty of rumors relating to Rousey's debut, the moment was kept relatively secret by all parties involved. Rousey explained how she pulled it off.
"It was a team effort," she said. "I had to fly in from Colombia, where I was shooting 'Mile 22' into Florida without being seen, commercially, and then I jumped on a private jet that flew me from Florida to New Jersey, then I got into a car, then that car went into like a service entrance to the hotel, then that went into a back elevator — I've just been Rapunzel in a tower pretty much for the last 24 hours so we could make this a surprise."
So about that Wrestlemania 34 matchup... Can Rousey confirm that's the plan? Instead of giving it to us straight, Rousey went full Sage Northcutt mode.
"I don't know, you'll just have to stay tuned and buy the WWE Network, $9.99," Rousey said.
Beyond that, Rousey assured everyone she's here to stay. This is not a one-and-done deal, and it will receive her full attention and focus moving forward.
"Full-time. They got me for a multi-year deal, and we're just dotting I's and crossing T's," Rousey said. "I didn't lie about not putting pen to paper. I still haven't yet, but yeah. This is going to be my home for the next while."
