Volkan Oezdemir lost to Daniel Cormier in the co-main event at UFC 220, but it didn't take long for the 28-year-old challenger to get back to the drawing board. 

In a video by Anatomy of a Fighter, cameras captured Oezdemir backstage immediately after his scrap in Boston on Saturday night. 

Calling for his Hard Knocks 365 wrestling coach Greg Jones, Oezdemir hit the mats just moments after being defeated via second-round TKO to determine what went wrong and to ensure he can prevent the same from happening again. 

While the fight didn't go Oezdemir's way, it's tough to imagine a better way to handle defeat than what Oezdemir showed. Watch the scene in full — and a nice little heartfelt moment — below.
