UFC light heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier is a master inside the Octagon — but it turns out his sneaker game is equally ferocious and refined. 

During a recent episode of Complex's Sneaker Shopping, Cormier went hard in the paint while discussing some of his favorite footwear over the years. Beginning with his tough Louisiana upbringing, Cormier detailed the evolution of his sneaker collection at length. 

Making it even more fun for MMA fans, Cormier described a hilarious encounter with former title challenger Anthony Johnson and name-dropped the one UFC fighter who might actually be able to challenge him in the shoe department. 

No, it's not Conor McGregor (although Cormier does show him a little love, too).
