Gabi Garcia is schedule to face off against 53-year-old Shinobu Kandori at Rizin's multi-day New Year's Eve event. 

However, after a disastrous weigh-in, the bout is in jeopardy. 

The bout was set to take place at 95 kg (209 pounds), but Japanese MMA delivered yet another wild moment when Garcia stepped onto the scale. Her opponent weighed 73.75 kg (162.25 pounds), well under the limit, before Garcia stepped onto the scale for one of the most embarrassing misses we’ve seen.

Garcia tipped the scales at a whopping 107.7 kg (236.94 pounds), nearly 27 pounds over the weight limit, making the women 75 pounds apart. 

A very visibly upset Kandori stormed off of the stage.

Rizin boss Nobuyuki Sakakibara has yet to announce whether the bout will still go on. If it is canceled, that may be for the best.
