Anthony Johnson Names His Top Three Favorite UFC Fights
Former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Anthony Johnson recounts his three favorite fights to ever take place inside the Octagon.
Anthony Johnson has created plenty of highlights on his own during his time competing under the UFC banner.
While "Rumble" arrived to the biggest stage in the sport as a welterweight and doled out plenty of punishment during his time competing in that division, it was his run in the light heavyweight fold that truly stamped his place as a fighter to fear inside the cage.
Johnson returned to the UFC in 2014 and found success in all but two of his eight showings, with all but one of his six wins over that stretch coming by way of knockout. Furthermore, during this run the Henri Hooft-trained fighter leveled a collection of elite level fighters that included former title challengers Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira.
The only two losses the 33-year-old suffered upon his return came at the hands of current champion Daniel Cormier in high stakes bouts for UFC gold. Immediately following his loss to Cormier at UFC 210 back in April, Johnson decided to hang up his gloves for good and retire.
And while there has been rumored talk of Johnson possibly returning, that hasn't stopped him from keeping up with action around the fight world. Johnson recently sat down with Anatomy of a Fighter to talk about the fight game, and the former title challenger shared his three favorite fights inside the Octagon.
