There is plenty of standing beef between Jake Shields and AJ Agazarm.

The former Strikeforce champion and grappling's bad boy have been throwing slaps both verbal and physical for the better part of the past two years. Shields hit Agazarm during Polaris 3 in April 2016, and the friction between the two has carried on throughout.

This past Sunday at Submission Underground 6 in Portland, OR, another chapter was written in their ongoing feud.

Immediately following Shields' victory over Gilbert Burns in the main event of SUG 6, the San Francisco-based fighter was asked who he would like to face in his next outing for the promotion. Shields listed off a few MMA-centric names but then said he wouldn't mind slapping Agazarm again.

The Florida native was in attendance and immediately entered the cage to approach Shields. The men started jawing back and forth before things became physical. Shields pursued Agazarm around the cage and fired off a slap intended to hit his rival but instead connected with the side of SUG promoter Chael Sonnen's head.

The "Gangster from West Linn" was able to get the situation under control, but the dust-up certainly served to hype up a potential rematch between Shields and Agazarm.
