Jon Jones, Colby Covington Take It Back To Old School In Twitter Beef
Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jone and current welterweight contender Colby Covington traded insults on Twitter.

Colby Covington has been making enemies left and right.
The No. 3-ranked welterweight has turned the entire country of Brazil against him, launched out on a relentless tirade trying to pick a fight with 170-pound champion Tyron Woodley, and even found himself in a recent scuffle with heavyweight Fabricio Werdum.
Covington also made headlines earlier this week by sounding off on former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Covington was reminiscing about the time he spent living with Jones while both wrestled at Iowa Central Community College, before calling the former 205-pound titlehoder “fake."
"Chaos" lived up to his nickname by further added, "Go do some more coke, go cheat on your wife some more, man. You’re a piece of shit dirtbag.”
Yet, despite the verbal missiles being launched his way, Jones remained silent regarding Covington’s comments. That all changed Thursday afternoon.
After seeing video of Werdum hitting Covington in the head with a boomerang outside of the fighter hotel in Sydney, Australia, Jones congratulated the heavyweight.
I despise racism , good job today @FabricioWerdum dude had the audacity to call you a "faggot" as he's backing up on Facebook live.

Covington caught wind of the comments and responded by taking another shot at Jones.
Wow, a criminal condoning assault with a deadly weapon. Go figure. #FilthyAnimals https://t.co/xUat0Bh79o

This time, Jones wasn’t going to let it slide. He went on a Twitter storm, hinting that Covington was lying about how close the two were and how long they lived together while poking at Covington for being jealous.
Yes because I've been using your name and interviews talking about some imaginary college two year relationship.

At the end of the day brother, I feel sad for you. I couldn't imagine holding that type of animosity in my heart.

It’s good to see Jones taking the high road here, right? We could be looking at a changed man.
Well…
And tell your mom I said hello, it was great getting to know her that one semester we stayed together. She's really a great human being

That’s a 10-8 round for “Bones.”
Colby Covington has definitely found a way to keep his name in the headlines, but it continues to be for all of the wrong reasons.
