Vitor Belfort vs. Uriah Hall Added To UFC: St. Louis
MMA legend Vitor Belfort will face Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night 124 in St. Louis.
A UFC legend is coming to the "Crossroads of America."
Former tournament champion and UFC title challenger Vitor Belfort will face Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night 124 in St. Louis on Jan. 14. The bout was initially announced by Belfort on social media several weeks back, but ESPN officially reported the matchup with date and location on Tuesday night.
The Brazilian knockout artist will enter the fight hoping to continue his momentum from a unanimous-decision victory over Nate Marquardt at UFC 212 back in June. Belfort's win over the former title challenger brought a halt to a rough three-fight skid in which the mixed martial arts pioneer's career appeared to be coming to an end.
Nevertheless, the 40-year-old still has plenty of fight in him, and Hall will be looking to knock that straight out of him in St. Louis.
Much like his upcoming opponent, "The Ultimate Fighter" alum Hall also broke a three-fight skid in his most recent outing, as he scored a second-round stoppage over Krzysztof Jotko back in September. The matchup with Belfort will represent one of the biggest opportunities of Hall's career and give the hard-charging striker a chance to notch a victory over one of the most prominent names in the sport.
A bout between Jessica Eye and Kalindra Faria was also reported for the card.
The scrappy Ohio native Eye was initially set to face Paige VanZant in her official UFC flyweight debut, but VanZant pulled out of the fight due to injury.
