Dan Hardy Calls Conor McGregor's Apology A 'Sh*t Sandwich'
Former UFC title challenger Dan Hardy shared his thoughts on the effort behind Conor McGregor's apology after Bellator 187.
Dan Hardy may not be competing inside the Octagon these days, but there is still plenty of power behind his shots.
The former UFC welterweight title challenger traded in the 4-ounce gloves for the microphone a few years back and has risen to become one of the most prominent voices in mixed martial arts in the process. "The Outlaw" simply calls things as he sees them, and the brass-tacks Brit is calling bullshit on the apology Conor McGregor recently posted on Instagram following his actions at Bellator 187 in Dublin this past weekend.
McGregor caused a scene at the event by jumping into the cage and shoving referee Marc Goddard after his teammate Charlie Ward defeated John Redmond. Friction between the Irish superstar and Goddard — then later a cageside commissioner — has landed the UFC lightweight champion in hot water, and "Notorious" took to social media Tuesday to issue an official apology.
McGregor's post goes into great detail about the incident, but Hardy says the SBG Ireland fighter's effort lacks sincerity.
Apologize at the start and finish of the statement, but put your real thoughts/excuse in the middle. That's called a #ShitSandwich
