FloCombat ranks the top 20 North American heavyweight MMA prospects for October 2017.

October Notes
- Brett Martin enters the rankings in the No. 14 spot.
Dyczka automatically moves to the No. 1 spot being the only heavyweight in the top five with an undefeated record. The 26-year-old fighter is slated to compete in October for TKO MMA against an unnamed opponent.
The 25-year-old Mayes remains in the No. 2 spot following his third-round TKO loss to Allen Crowder on Aug. 29.
The Canadian heavyweight is slated to compete on the ACB card in Montreal on Oct. 14 against Dave Cryer.
The 29-year-old Hughes has won seven of his last eight fights, with his lone loss coming against The Ultimate Fighter 19 standout Dan Spohn. Hughes recently signed with Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA).
The 25-year-old fighter boasts all six of his wins by stoppage and has yet to go the distance in his seven-fight career.
