Warrior Nation Fight Series brought the heat to FloCombat Saturday, May 13, with Warrior Nation Fight Series 45. 

Live from Sandusky, Ohio, the night's competitors threw down early and often, providing viewers at home and in attendance with knockouts, submissions, and back-and-forth scraps aplenty. 

In the main event, Joe Pimental returned from a long layoff to defeat Dakota Day via unanimous decision. While the bout was not contested for WNFS gold, Pimental made it clear in his post-fight interview he'd love to run it back with the belt on the line. 

Richie Webber put on a similarly dominant performance in the night's co-main event, submitting Andre White with a first-round rear-naked choke. After securing an early takedown, it was game over, as Webber methodically worked to the back and sunk in the choke, finishing the fight in short order. Like Pimental, Webber also cut a nice post-fight speech, acknowledging the fact that he is two-and-one-half years clean and offering his help to anyone struggling with addiction. 

Also of note, Ty Mees wrecked shop in his long-awaited return. After rocking opponent Brandon Johnson with the first punch of the fight, Mees took over, eventually sealing the deal with some brutal ground-and-pound. After the fight, Mees said he'd "like to get paid" in the near future, indicating a potential move to the pros.
