Trition Fights 2 Results: Ott defends title, Oliveira captures gold
Triton Fights delivered impressive night of action in their sophomore event Friday evening (April 28th) live on FloCombat.
In the night's main event, Eric Ott successfully defended his Trition middleweight championship against Marcus Chin. Both fighters weren't afraid to stand and trade in the opening stanza, but Ott opted for the takedown and found it twice in the first round. The second saw Ott land an early takedown, take top position but he couldn't do much after that. Seeing the lack of activity from both fighters prompted referee Dan Miragliotta to stand the fighters
up. In the third it was the same story as the Long Island MMA product got a takedown and fished for a submission but couldn't get it. Regardless it was a dominant performance from Ott - who trains with UFC standouts Ryan LaFlare and Dennis Bermudez - as he goes to the judges' scorecards for the first time in his career and defends his middleweight championship.
