Cub Swanson Outclasses Artem Lobov at UFC Fight Night 108
UFC featherweight contender Cub Swanson battered Artem Lobov in the main event at UFC Fight Night 108.
There was a lot of mismatch talk heading into the main event between Cub Swanson and Artem Lobov at UFC Fight Night 108.
The Palm Springs native has been a fixture in the featherweight title hunt for the past several years and faced a collection of the best 145-pound talent around the globe. In doing so "Killer Cub" has found success at a very high rate, and put together a pair of healthy winning streaks. Swanson ran the table in 2016 and came into Nashville on three and looking to make it four straight en route back to title contention.
And where Swanson's garnered a ton of acclaim in the fight game, Lobov came into UFC Fight Night 108 at the opposite end of that particular spectrum.
"The Russian Hammer" came into the tilt having found victory in only two of his four showings inside the Octagon, and the narrative holding closer to his friendship with Conor McGregor than his accomplishments inside the cage. Swanson touched on the issue in the lead up to the fight, but in the days, but it was all business between the two men on Saturday night.
