Vladimir Mineev brutalized Maiquel Falcao after referee refused to stop their fight at Fight Night Global 63.
It was a rough day at the office for UFC vet Maiquel Falcao when he met Vladimir Mineev in a middleweight bout at Fight Night Global 63 in Vladivostok, Russia.
The promising young Russian prospect has revenge on his mind after suffering his first and only loss to Falcao in December; it's safe to say that his revenge was had.
After a competitive first few minutes, Mineev hurt Falcao with a body shot that dropped the Brazilian and followed up with over a minute of unanswered blows before the ref mercifully called a stop to the bout. Falcao took a significant number of unnecessary blows to the head after it was clear he was in no shape to continue fighting.
The referee showed an embarrassing lack of competence in allowing the fight to take place after it was clear Falcao was dangerously hurt.
The win runs Mineev's record to 10-1.
