Valor Fights 42 brought the thunder to your Saturday night, live on FloCombat, featuring a vicious one-two punch at the top of the card.
In the night's main event, local hero and MMA standout Steven Haag took on the previously undefeated Quinten Culpepper in a bout that promised fireworks. Notice the word "previously" there before "undefeated."
Haag wasted no time getting the fight to the mat, and from there he dominated, transitioning until he locked up a deep triangle choke, forcing his opponent to tap out early.

Perhaps the biggest winner on the card, however, was American Top Team prospect Lindsey Jones, who moved to 2-0 as a pro in emphatic fashion.
In his pro debut, Jones faced former professional wrestler David Cash—AKA Kid Kash—at Valor Fights 38. That one went something like this:

In his sophomore appearance, Jones fought Jeff Powell. It went like this.

With the victory, Jones improves to 2-0, and more importantly, he cements himself as one of the hottest prospects to watch on the regional scene. After the fight, Jones was called out by Sid Wheeler, another young, promising fighter who has main evented Valor Fights cards in the past.
In other Valor Fights 42 action, Cole Ferrell moved to 3-0 with a wicked and quick guillotine choke of Bruce Duckett.
