Bellator light heavyweight star Muhammed Lawal will step back into the cage Friday night in a much anticipated rematch against heated rival Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in the main event of Bellator 175 live and free on SPIKE TV.

The first fight at Bellator 120 was decided by the judges in somewhat controversial fashion when Jackson was awarded the unanimous decision victory. In the second go-round Lawal intends to leave nothing for the judges to weigh in on.

Lawal recently appeared on Rattling the Cage with Tony Reid to discuss the upcoming scrap and part two of one of the most heated rivalries in the sport today.

On the judges scoring the first fight for Jackson

“Everybody knows I beat him. Quinton even knows I beat him. It wasn’t pretty but I beat him two rounds to one. He said he asked for a rematch before the results were read because he wanted to knock me out. OK. Who does that? Nobody does that.”

On how legit the beef is between himself and Jackson

“I don’t like him. I think he is corny. I think he thinks he is bigger than he is. He did his thing in the past but he is holding on to the past. He thinks he’s owed something. I think he is lame. He’s go the same bad breath, big ears, you’re so ugly jokes. It kinda gets old. I just laugh. I can’t take him seriously.”

On Rampage’s dated fighting style

“The stupidest thing was him saying I was scared to stand with him. Quinton, you’re about 260. He told me he was going to be about 260 in the cage. I’m 210 right now. Who in their right mind would stand and bang with someone like that? That whole stand and bang thing is whack. He didn’t try to stand and bang with Glover or some of the other dangerous strikers. I didn’t see none of that. He wants the fight to take place where it’s easier for him.

“I won’t stand and bang with him? OK Quinton. You won’t come and wrestle with me.”
