Bellator’s Anthony “Pretty Boy’ Taylor” is heading back to Europe and this time, it’s the Hungarian capital Budapest that he’s hoping to take by storm.

Back in December, Taylor entered the Bellator cage for the second time when he travelled across the pond to face James Gallagher in Dublin, Ireland. The featherweight did no shortage of talking before the fight and he took the local media by storm appearing on both Irish TV and radio in the build up to his fight with their local man.

‘Pretty Boy’ is back

Unfortunately for Taylor, Gallagher prevailed on the night, but it was a brave effort from the Californian with the fight going into the third round. Since then, Taylor has taken time to some time off, but with his return date set last week, it’s back to full throttle “Pretty Boy”.

“Oh man I’ve been so great,” Taylor said speaking exclusively to FloCombat. “I’ve just been relaxing with friends and family and working out and having a blast with my teammates.

“I had a short bit of time off, but all the time I’ve been working on getting better and now I’m focused on getting ready for this upcoming fight I have.”

Lessons learned from Dublin

Reflecting on the fight back in December, Taylor regretted the way it finished, but said the was now looking past it and using it as a learning experience.

“After the fight, I was so bummed out,” Taylor said. “I was clearly winning the fight and he got nowhere near my face like he said he would. I felt I was fully in control, but at the beginning of the third-round I slipped and he caught me. From there, I was pretty much powerless to what happened. It happens and I know must learn from it and get better from there.

“I learned so much from that week. I know what I needed to do as far as my ground game. No one is stronger than me in the 145-pound division, scratch that, pound-for-pound I'm the strongest 145er in the world physically. One thing you can rely is on is that my ground game has gotten exceptionally better since that fight.”

No grudges with Gallagher

Prior to the fight, both Gallagher and Taylor did a great job of building up their rivalry and investing people in their co-main bout. Despite the harsh words that were exchanged, Taylor says that respect was won between in the cage that they now have a much better relationship.

“Yeah, we talked after the fight,” Taylor said. “I told him it's all for the show and for the build up to the fight—it was never anything personal.

“James and I are cool now. I never get upset, I just love having fun. He has a lot to learn in the MMA world, but I’m sure he will do just fine.”

No fear heading to Budapest

Having moved on from the fight in Dublin, it’s now all eyes on Hungary and his bout with local undefeated fighter, Adam Borics. Fearless as always, Taylor says he cares little for Borics’ 9-0 record and that he’s heading into the bout full of confidence he can get the job done.

“I got the call and then there it was—co-main event again in Europe,” Taylor said. “Man, that's a beast record. Anybody with a 9-0 record is a monster. But me, I don’t give a f*ck about that.

“He can't hurt me or over power me in anyway. He's not safe. When you’re are in there with me no one ever is. I'm coming for him.”

Watch out Hungary, I’m coming

With the date set for April 14 in Budapest at Bellator 177, Taylor is promising the local Hungarian MMA fans they’ll witness something like they’ve never seen before. Asked what they can expect from him this time around, Taylor in his own unique way explained they need to just sit back and enjoy the show.

“Woooooooooo,” Taylor said, doing his best Ric Flair impression. “They can expect lots of ‘Pretty Boy’ good energy from the ‘Pretty Boy’. I'm bringing fire, I'm bringing heat, god dammit I'm bringing this pretty face.

“I’m here just to get better and kick some ass so get ready for the ‘Pretty Boy Tour’. I'm going to be a movie star and a superstar. I'm going to be bigger than Tito [Ortiz], ‘Rampage’ and ‘King Mo’. I'm going to be the most electrifying man in Bellator MMA so buckle up—I’m coming.”
