Skinny G Podcast Episode 7: Mark Godbeer, Paul Craig, Brian Gallacher
FloCombat's Jim Edwards speaks with UFC fighters Mark Godbeer and Paul Craig and their coach, Brian Gallacher during the Skinny G Podcast.
The seventh episode of the Skinny G Podcast has dropped, and the Scottish Hit Squad (SHS) is in town.
First up joining Jim Edwards this week is former BAMMA heavyweight champion Mark Godbeer. Following his debut loss at UFC Fight Night 99 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Godbeer decided to head north and join up with SHS ahead of his next fight with Todd Duffee March 4 at UFC 209. Godbeer reflects on his loss to Justin Ledet in his debut and then speaks about the benefits of working with the team in Scotland.
Shortly after, Jim then speaks to UFC light heavyweight Paul Craig. The man from Coatbridge, Scotland, had a stunning debut at UFC on Fox 22 in December, defeating the Brazilian Luis Henrique da Silva in the second round via armbar. Like Godbeer, Craig will fight on the UFC 209 card in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will face Australian Tyson Pedro in his second outing in the UFC Octagon. The proud Scotsman discusses training with Godbeer and what it feels like to fly the flag for Scotland in the UFC.
Lastly, Jim catches up with the man who runs the show at SHS, Brian Gallacher. Working there as the head coach, Gallagher has all the inside information on what's happening in the gym, and he speaks about how the lads have been working together ahead of their respective fights at UFC 209.
