UFC Fight Night 103 live results as BJ Penn returns to take on Yair Rodriguez at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona
It's been almost a year in the making, but the day is finally here. The legend, BJ Penn, returns to the UFC Octagon this evening when he takes on upcoming prospect Yair Rodriguez at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona at UFC Fight Night 103.
It's been a year of false starts for Penn who since announcing his return has had three potential fights fall through for various reasons. Penn will return to the Octagon for the first time since 2014 and the former UFC lightweight and welterweight Champion will this evening write the latest chapter in his storied career that stretches back to 2001.
Despite going 1-3-1 in his last five outings, Penn still has plenty of fight left in him and looks to knock off a highly-touted prospect on his return this evening.
Yair Rodriguez has taken the UFC's featherweight division by storm and since winning the first series of TUF Latin America has gone a perfect 5-0 in the UFC. His flashy arsenal of kicks and relentless forwards pressure has won him many fans already in his young career, though this evening he could for the first time play the role of the bad guy as he squares off with the hall of famer Penn inside the Octagon.
This fight and so much more goes down this evening. Keep up with the official results below and follow along on Twitter @FloCombat for up round by round updates.
