It’s been a long time coming, but Herbert Burns returns to the ONE Championship cage Feb. 10 at ONE: Throne of Tigers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The event will be headlined by a main-event showdown between hometown hero Ev “E.T.” Ting and lightweight veteran Kamal Shalorus who himself returns to the ONE Championship cage for the first time in over two and half years.

The rest of the card was announced Thursday morning via press release, and it included a statement by ONE Championship CEO Victor Cui, who expressed his excitement for the card the promotion put together for the Malaysian fans.

“ONE: Throne of Tigers is shaping up to be one of the most exciting cards we have ever held in Kuala Lumpur,” Cui said. “It has a great headlining bout between Malaysia’s very own Ev Ting and a veteran of the sport in Kamal Shalorus.

“In addition, the card has an amazing roster of talent. Fans in Malaysia and all around the world can look forward to an amazing night of world-class mixed martial arts action.”

Among the fights announced was a featherweight bout featuring one of the most highly rated 145-pound fighters plying their trade in the Asian region.

28-year-old Herbert Burns (6-0) of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is considered one of the most talented featherweights in ONE Championship, but he has not fought since September 2015. Burns is considered a grappling specialist and has won four of his six bouts via submission.

In his last bout, Burns submitted the hard-hitting Timofey Nastyukhin with a first-round rear-naked choke after three minutes and 25 seconds of the first round. With his strong background in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Burns is widely considered one of the top contenders in his division, but if he is to continue his rise up the division, he must take out the Russian fighter Movlid Khaibulaev Feb. 10.

The 26-year-old Khaibulaev is currently undefeated, boasting a 10-0 professional record.

Five of his victories have come by finish, including one submission and four knockouts. Having spent most his career competing in his home country fighting under the FEN banner, Khaibulaev now makes his debut under the ONE Championship banner at ONE: Throne of Tigers.
