If you've been underwhelmed by the hype for Saturday's UFC 202 rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, Wednesday's wild press conference might have done the trick.
McGregor, never a man who worries about wasting time for others, was over 30 minutes late to the event at the MGM Grand. Diaz patiently fielded questions from the media while the world waited for his opponent. But when McGregor finally showed up, Diaz promptly stood up and headed for the exit. That's when everything went a little bit crazy. Diaz threw a water bottle at McGregor, and McGregor responded by (poorly) throwing water bottles and cans of energy drink at Diaz.
After the commotion died down, McGregor sat down for an interview with ESPN, where he made it abundantly clear that he's no longer in love with doing media and just wants to focus on fighting.
