UFC Fight Night 92 was an evening that won't live long in the memory but there were still some notable performances and wins for some of the lesser known names on the UFC roster.
In the absence of a post-fight press conference, many of the winners caught up with the media backstage and with Jon Anik immediately after inside the Octagon. Here are highlights of what the winners had to say.
"Thank you to all of you guys coming here tonight," Rodriguez said addressing the crowd after the fight. "It feels amazing, thank all of you guys from Salt Lake City, It's an amazing city. I love you guys so much for your support.
"I dunno man, that is not my work, that is for Sean Shelby so I'm going to let them pick my next opponent," Rodriguez said. "I just have to be ready for the next opponent. It was a great experience and I think it was a good opportunity for me to see where I'm at in my division and where my cardio and my technique are after three rounds."
"I'm feeling pretty good I got some bumps and some bruises but it was a tough fight and I know Rony Jason really wanted that," Bermudez said. "A win over me would've put him in the rankings and he came prepared for sure. I'm just going to spend a little time with my kids because I had to pay the sacrifice with being away from them to get prepared for this fight."
"I always thought that would be a great fight against Franke Edgar," Bermudez said. "He's got a similar style to me, he's a great wrestler and has great movement and striking. I believe a win over Frankie Edgar gets me a title shot.
"I was trying to get the sport of MMA legalised in New York before I was even in the UFC. It's been a dream of mine to fight at Maddison Square Garden. I think it's a dream of any athlete who takes part in a sport indoors that is from New York to fight in Maddison Square Garden.
"My cardio got to me and I had to dig deep, shout out to my brothers back home," Swanson said keeping short and sweet.
