There was as much heat going into the main event at Caged Madness 44 as can be found on the regional scene.

It was a battle of up-and-coming prospects as J'Mar Moore squared off with Austin Meese to top off a crazy night of fights from the Tamdor Shrine in Akron, OH. There was no love lost between Moore and Meese, and the tension showed from the opening bell until the last. Both fighters were determined to keep the fight standing, and that's where the entire 15-minute battle took place.

Both fighters took turns exchanging shots, but it was the hometown fighter in Moore who landed with more frequency. It was anyone's fight going into the final half of the third round, and Moore pressed on just enough to get the nod. With the win, Moore remains undefeated, and notches a victory over a promising fighter who comes from a stellar bloodline that includes UFC bantamweight standout Cody Garbrandt.
