Prospect Watch: UK talent Marc Diakiese Signs With the UFC
UFC has signed BAMMA lightweight champion Marc Diakese.
Are the UFC loading up on British talent ahead of UFC 204 in Manchester, England?
It would certainly appear that way.
It was announced this morning that BAMMA lightweight champion Marc Diakiese has signed with the promotion. He is the second British fighter to sign with the UFC in as many days.
The news was broken this morning by BAMMA on Twitter.

Diakiese, 23, has an unbeaten professional record (9-0) and has long been touted as one of the UK's brightest prospects. His impressive resume is highlighted by his last two performances, both highlight reel knockouts of Rick Selvarajah and Kane Mousah on BAMMA 22 and BAMMA 25 respectively.
The British fighter brings an all-around package to the cage, mixing speed, a solid ground game and the durability to go the distance if required. And, as evidenced above, he has the kind of knockout power that allows him to finish opponents with one shot.
Diakiese trains at Atherton Submission Wrestling. The gym is the current home of other UK talents, including middleweight Scott Askham and Mike Wilkinson.
