Following the shocking news last evening that Jon Jones had been scrapped from the UFC 200 main event after an alleged violation of the USADA drug testing policy, UFC President Dana White confirmed that the promotion had not given up all hope that Daniel Cormier could find a new opponent.

"Maybe someone will pop up and fight Cormier at the last minute," White said. "Stranger things have happened."

While fighters such as Michael Bisping, Uriah Hall and Michael Bisping have all taken to social media to state their desire to step up, Alexander Gustafsson's management have confirmed to FloCombat that the Swede would be prepared to take the fight if it was offered to him at a catchweight of 220lbs and if the money on the table was right.

Gustafsson's management also confirmed that at this point in time they had not been contacted by the UFC.

The terms stated by the Gustafsson camp this evening echo what the Swede said last month when he asked about whether he would be ready to step in at short notice.

"If the UFC came to me with the right money and the right terms, then I'd definitely take the fight. I just can't wait to fight now," Gustafsson said speaking exclusively to FloCombat. "I've been away for a couple of months, and I'm booked to fight Jan (Błachowicz), but if they wanted me to face Jones or Cormier on short notice, I'd do it. I'm a fighter, I'd fight anyone for the right money."
