Someone’s “0” had to go and it was Cody Garbrandt who crafted the most impressive performance of his young career at Fight Night 88.

The bantamweight slugger stepped in to face highly touted striker Thomas Almeida in a battle of up-and-coming prospects, and Garbrandt proved he’s ready for primetime. “No Love” laced Almeida with big shots at every turn until he finally landed a crisp right hand that starched the Brazilian and sent him face first into the canvas.

While Garbrandt is still in the early stages of his career, the win over Almeida will catapult him into the upper tier of the bantamweight fold.
